Join me for Day 1 – 12 Days of a Poinsettias Christmas I have fallen in love with this bundle, so I might as well help you fall for it, too, with all the fun projects I’ve got for you this month.
How do you like the Black and White Poinsettia…a modern twist for something different. Yes, nice to try things a bit different sometimes. I love the modern look of it, too.
I used the new Black Glitter Paper in between the layers of Black Cardstock for some added interest and dimension. All the flower pieces were cut out with the Poinsettia Dies. Did you notice that the die set even embosses the veins, too? Pretty cool detail element. Then to offset it and add a bit of shine, I used Gold Foil Sheets for a couple of leaves and a berry sprig. To really bling it up, I inadvertently used some retired gold style bling I had and coordinated the last little bit of gold with twine from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo pack.
The sentiment was stamped using the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and cut out using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I used more of the Black Glitter Paper behind it for my sparkle..cuz, well, why not? 😉
Kind of fun to play around and explore options. When I first got this fabulous Poinsettia Die set, I think I made 6 different cards in the first week, I was so excited! It was definitely Christmas in July at my house with my pre-order getting supplies an entire month before the Holiday catalog went live to customers.
