Join me for Day 9 – 12 Days of Poinsettias Christmas. I have fallen in love with this bundle, so I might as well help you fall for it, too, with all the fun projects I’ve got for you this holiday season.
This gorgeous project was one of my favorites from the retreat and the favorite of many others, too. Just SO PRETTY!! Who wouldn’t love to get this one?! I made it with the stunning Plush Specialty Paper and maybe you were lucky enough to get your hands on some before it sold out. If not, you can make it with any kind of Designer Series Paper and make a beautiful gift bag, too.
Cutting a base with Real Red Cardstock of 2-1/2″ x 5-/4″ and scoring @ 1/2″ on all four sides to make a tray as the base of the bag. The I used a 4″ x 12″ piece of the Plush Poinsettias Specialty Vellum and some Tear & Tape with some Real Red 12″x12″ cut into 1/2″ strips securing it on the backside of the gorgeous vellum on the bottom and on the front side on the top and bottom. I then started in the middle of the tray and wrapped the vellum around the tray base being very careful to keep the tray flat and secure the vellum to keep everything flat on the table. I was careful not to crease the vellum for a beautiful finish. The handles are 1/2″ x 8-1/2″ secured on the inside.
The flower was cut with the Poinsettias Dies and finished with the lovely Beaded Pearls. I stamped the sentiment in Real Red stamp pad and the Poinsettias Petals stamp set and cut out a tag with the Tasteful Labels and security with some Real Red twine I had in my stash.
It turned out so gorgeous, I can’t decide who I will gift this special bag to this year. And, there are so many ways to use it. How about a sweet gift wrapped in tissues inside or fairy lights and ornaments keeping a sweet light on a side table in a hallway or on the back of the toilet (if you have any guests over).
Thanx so much for following along with my 12 Days of Poinsettias Christmas, I am sure having fun and please comment below and let me know what you think of this gift bag or the series, I would love to hear what you think.
Have a great holiday season!
