Join me for Day 6 – 12 Days of Poinsettias Christmas. I have fallen in love with this bundle, so I might as well help you fall for it, too, with all the fun projects I’ve got for you this holiday season.
Here is another of my Virtual Retreat projects made using the Poinsettia Petals Bundle, another one of my favorite projects that can be used for so many things: just like this as a decorative holiday element on a side table or entry; with a favorite holiday photo; or even holding a gift suspended from the top! Let your mind imagination soar with creativity.
It sure sings Christmas and the beautiful white poinsettias and the “jewelry” of the Beaded Pearls just adds so much to the whole project! I used the sentiment from Stitched So Sweetly Dies with the sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. Once the flowers were cut out, I used a Sponge Dauber and some Real Red stamp pad to ink the edged and smudge from the center out, almost making them look a bit pink, but much like real poinsettias.
Isn’t this 12 Days of Poinsettias Christmas fun? Are you inspired yet? If not, I better get busy and keep showing you even more projects! Good thing we still have lots of days left. I hope to have you longing for my next project. 😉
Here is a template I put together for the cardstock and the scoring, cutting and folding process. Have fun playing around with this versatile frame which can be used for just about anything. I was inspired by fellow demonstrator, Julie DiMatteo. It starts with a 8-1/2″x8-1/2″ piece of cardstock scored on all sides 1/2″, 1″, 1-1/2″ and 2″ and folding and scoring as shown in the template below. I have colored the areas to cut away in gray and notched the 4 corners for less bulk in folding. I also noted the size for the interior if you wish to add a photo.
Happy Holidays to you!
