Welcome to our Scrapbook Global Blog Hop for September 2020! I am so glad you are here where you will get to check out lots of great creativity and you are going to love this and get some terrific ideas, too. These ladies are talented and want to share the love they have for scrap booking with you. This month the theme is Celebrate!  Let’s see what everyone is celebrating, shall we?

Recently I was looking at the fun and spooky Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper and admiring the pretty black and white floral patterns that don’t even have to be used for Halloween.  So, when I began looking for photos to use with the DSP, I found some fun Halloween photos and my girlfriend is wearing a top the exact same color of Pretty Peacock page, too.  These photos were just perfect!

Now, generally speaking I have “a little bit more” style with my scrapbook layouts, but sometimes I challenge myself to make a quick and more simple page.  This was one of those times.  I merely torn the edges of all of the black and white patterns to use in different size and shapes, also seeing more white areas from the torn edges.  Layering them over the Pretty Peacock patterned page gave some depth and contrast.

And this very fun Mesh Ribbon just had to be on the page!  I used it down the left side and to “wrap” it all up, I added a fun bow.  A few of the Iridescent Pearls add to the spooky feeling and I had a few retired black faceted rhinestones, too.

Adding a title tag and journal tag in the same shape with a fun black glitter layer provides some fun and who doesn’t love glitter paper, right?  It also helps with the almost monochromatic look of the page.

For a pretty quick and easy page, I am pretty happy with how it turned out.  Needless to say, it was a very fun Halloween celebration party with my friend, Patricia.  Makes me think if I’ll be celebrating much this year…sigh.  Maybe a virtual Zoom party…

Check out more terrific pages through the hop and see great layouts from around the world.  There will be something here for everyone.  hope you enjoy them, too.  Next up, Sara Levin, hop on over to see her celebratory scrapbook page!  But first, please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts about my page, too.

Cheers!
