Let’s Cheer You Up with something pretty.  And, it will be easy to do with a card made almost entirely with scrap pieces.  I had a few scrap pieces lying about from another project, so why not put them to good use.  It is colorful, has different types of textures, color and of course, gold!

Using a Whisper White Thick cardstock as a card base gives it great structure.  If you haven’t gotten this paper yet, what are you waiting for?  You’ll never go back to regular Whisper White cardstock.

Layering it with one of the Greenery Embossing folders gives it some nice texture and interest on the base.  Adding a few strips of the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper in a somewhat random pattern was by accident, I just started playing around with some scrap strips lying on my workspace to get the design started.  It pretty much just fell together.  Don’t you just love it when things happen easily?

Of course it needed a sentiment, this is from the Lovely You stamp set and cut out with the Layering Circle Dies.  Next, for a little bit of wow I put some Gold Foil paper behind it but out with another die from the Layering Circle dies.  For a final bit of fun, I used some of the gold twine from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo.  For starting with some leftover strips, not too bad, eh?

Have you tried making any other type of card using scraps?  Leave me a comment and I would be happy to see any of your projects or ideas, too.
