Welcome to New @ SU – Holiday Catalog Premier! We’ll be showcasing some of the gorgeous new products from the new Holiday Catalog 2020. You are going to absolutely LOVE them! Enjoy the blog hop and get a notepad and pen ready to add all the new goodies to your shopping list.
So, I made this pink poinsettia pretty card on a recent Facebook Live event and I just have to share it with you. It is just sooo pretty! This is just a terrific way of looking at your holiday cards a bit differently. If you are a traditionalist, this card just might make you a convert. 😉
Of course, with these terrific Poinsettia Dies, they do all the work of cutting out the shape and embossing the veins in the petals, too. I did use a Sponge Dauber and the Blushing Bride stamp pad to accent the edges just a bit. You can see that layering the pieces is so easy, especially when you use a Bone Folder. It gives it just a bit of a curl of the cardstock. And a quick tip, put a Stampin’ Dimensional in between the layers for added separation to show depth. I used Gold Foil Sheets to make a leaf and a berry stem, too, for a little pop of shine. I added three large Basic Pearls at the center, to keep with the elegant nature combined with the white for a lovely soft look.
Below I used Gold Embossing Powder and heat embossed the sentiment on to Whisper White cardstock and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Dies. These dies are one of my absolute basics for any project and one of the best investment in dies to have in your inventory. Then, I adhered it to a Gold Foil Sheet cut out with the Layering Oval Dies for the perfect compliment.
In addition, to add just a bit more…(that’s how I usually roll!), I wrapped the top of the card at the fold with the gold cording from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack. I think it finishes the card nicely.
I truly hope you loved this card as much as I do, I couldn’t wait to share it with you. Watch for several more projects made with this amazing Poinsettia Petals Bundle because I am in love with this bundle. I even plan to have a Class To Go coming soon, so be sure and sign up for my newsletter so you don’t miss it!
