This was a fun card to play around with and I ended up with Hello Beautiful Ornate Garden. I fell in love with the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper before and even more so when I started coloring it. Then, add in the gorgeous frames from the Ornate Layers Dies and these scrumptious colors and well, it doesn’t get much better than this.
The Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper has lots of gold foil incorporated and I am always a sucker for anything foil, and gold is my favorite…well, most of the time. 🙂 I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to color in the flowers using Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green leaving some uncolored for interest and a bit of white to brighten it up. TIP: If you try this and decide to use Stampin’ Blends, take your time and don’t color over the foil or it will take away the shine and color.
These Ornate Garden Dies and all the frame options are just stunning on their own, but I wanted to pair them up in different sizes playing around with layering. I didn’t even use the whole thing on the green one, but it sure helps ground the set and helps the Gorgeous Grape to shine. I don’t know if you noticed, but I also added a little butterfly from the Butterfly Duet Punch on the top right for a little bit of fun.
The gold twine from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack on the side created more texture to finish it off. I was very pleased and I hope you enjoy it, too.
Cheers!
