Welcome to our Scrapbook Global Challenge for April 2020 Blog Hop!   I am so glad you are here where you will get to check out lots of great creativity.  You are going to love this and get some terrific ideas, too.  These ladies are talented and want to share the love they have for scrap booking with you.  This month our theme is A Blast From the Past.  I’m pretty sure you have some older photos around your house that you may want to scrapbook and this is just the place to find great ideas.   Enjoy our blog hop!

The lovely ladies below are the Design Team members inspiring you monthly with exciting scrapbook layouts!

The theme for this month is A Blast From the Past and I think I totally nailed it with this photo of my grandmother and several of her sisters.  It was taken in 1983 and just makes my heart sing to see it.  I started with the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper, because the coloring seemed to compliment the photo nicely.  I probably wouldn’t have gone with Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight as the main colors, but they just worked with this photo.

While it is true that most everyone is in lockdown and have more time on their hands, I sadly am still going to work every day.  I am working for a non-profit company that serves the large homeless population here in San Diego.  Needless to say, these people are considered high-risk and our services are highly in need right now.  I also don’t have a job that allows for me to work from home.  Yes, I am taking precautions for my safety.

With the stress of the situation, I really haven’t been much in the mood to craft.  I did however get this layout done, taking liberties I don’t usual employ…yikes, non-Stampin’ Up! products found in my cabinets.  Yes, it’s true I took the easy route this month…I think you’ll forgive me. 😉  And it just goes to show, we probably all have “other” stuff around our crafting space to put to good use.  I love the use of all the different kinds of elements here.

I included a tag and a journal label with the information about the sisters.  They are both from the Stitched Label Dies.
