This layout was quite a challenge in putting together. I really wanted to use the Magnolia Lane product suite, as the magnolia flower is the symbol of the clean beauty Ever brand in the photos. Having cancer two times has given me such a different perspective in life and when I joined Ever, I knew I could have a very positive impact of the lives of many women, this was the start of my journey. It’s always great to capture memories and celebrate events, this was one of those events. This was the start of another adventure for me with some amazing women and opportunity for our lives. The photos are almost a year old now and so much has changed for the ladies in the photos making them even more important. That’s the beauty of scrapbooking…celebrating the memories that are a snapshot in our lives.
Behind the focal areas, is a piece of the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper. I layered Old Olive and Whisper White cardstock on top. The latter was stamped with the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set using an Old Olive stamp pad. To give it some depth, I used an Aqua Painter, along with the Old Olive stamp pad and the Petal Pink stamp pad creating my own version of Designer Series Paper.
The large focal point magnolias were hand cut out after using the Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder and Melon Mambo and Petal Pink card stock with the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets. I love how they turned out.
Mounting the photos with a double mat gave them a softness with the colors. The words are from the Well Written Dies. To wrap it up, I added a few of the Glitter Enamel Dots and a bit of the 3/8″ Scalloped Lace Trim.
I hope you enjoyed my layout this month and maybe discovered some of our gorgeous new products to consider for your crafting needs.
