Welcome to our Scrapbook Global Challenge May 2019 Blog Hop!   I am so glad you are here checking out some great creativity found in one place.  You are going to love this group and get some awesome ideas, too.  These ladies are talented and want to share the love they have for scrapbooking with you.  Our theme this month is Masculine and who doesn’t struggle with that sometimes.  Get some great ideas here.

The lovely ladies below are our Design Team members.  I hope you enjoy my masculine layout  and find some terrific inspiration with these awesome items on our blog hop.  Enjoy!

I had an art frame hanging around the studio leftover from a previous class and decided to use it to make a little something for my Grandson, Max.  His birthday is coming up this summer and I thought this could be something he would enjoy.  And, to be fully honest, after our mixed media challenge, it seemed like a perfect project to play around with.

The frame was covered in gesso so I had a blank palette to start.  Using Embossing Paste with the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and the Palette Knives got me off to a great start.  Adding the Best Route Designer Series Paper brought it to life with some colored images.  I used a Stampin’ Spritzer with alcohol and Blueberry Bushel stamp re-inker for some depth and texture.  Then I did a little stamping with the En Route stamp set, too.

Using the Maps, Etc. Embossing Folder added a bit of interest beneath his name to help accentuate the main sentiment.

Using the Layering Ovals framelits comes in handy so often to highlight something, just like here.  I think he’s going to really like this as he turns 11. Who wouldn’t love something that says “You’re Pretty Great”?!

I hope you enjoyed my “masculine” project this month and maybe even consider something similar.  Be brave, it’s not hard…just play and see what develops.
