Welcome to my page and the ICS June Blog Hop – New InColors!  Join us the first Wednesday of each month for the ICS Blog Hop for all kinds of fun and creativity.  If you are new to my page, I hope you find my project fun and inspiring, too.

Let’s get started right away with my fun project this month.  While it is true that the new 2018-20 InColors are bright and bold, I took a different approach this month to show you the versatility of these colors.  By using an aqua painter and the ink in the well of the stamp pad (or you could use re-inker, too), it can give it a much softer look by not using too much water.  Isn’t it pretty?  I love watercolor art and this worked very well on the Shimmery White paper.

You can still get the boldness of the colors with the cardstock and the use of black for that dramatic look.  I had so much fun making this card, it just sings “happy” to me.

I started with a piece of the Shimmery White cardstock and the Lovely Floral Dynamic Embossing folder.  Then with the Aqua Painter, I colored in the impression areas and around on the background, too.  The sentiment was stamped from the Varied Vases stamp set and cut out with one of my favorite products, the Stitched Shape framelits.  I added another pop of color by layering it onto Call Me Clover cardstock cut out with the Layering Ovals framelits, they coordinate so nicely.  For just another lovely accent, I added the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls, so pretty.

Well, did you smile or were you inspired to try this technique yourself?  I sure hope so.
