Okay, I admit it, I would love to be Flying Home with lots of texture on this card. I am a texture junkie! Layers and any kind of texture add so much interest to any project. It may seem a bit busy, but so fun with the colorful image and even more elements make it just sing.
The base of this card starts with Garden Green cardstock and is layered on the Garden Trellis embossing folder in Sweet Sugarplum cardstock. The image was stamped from the Flying Home stamp set with Memento ink so I could use the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers to color it. I used the Old Olive Dark Stampin’ Blends and Rich Razzleberry Light Stampin’ Blends to match the cardstock color as best I could. I have really enjoyed using these markers and I am thrilled to know they are adding 12 new color combinations with the release of the new catalog soon. Of course to get these great circles, I used my Big Shot to cut it out with the Stitched Shapes framelit set and another circle from the Layering Circles framelit set to frame it nicely.
The decorate part of the label at the bottom was stamped with the Label Me Pretty stamp set and punched with the coordinating Pretty Label punch. I even punched it a second time in Garden Green cardstock and split it to layer behind for more color contrast. The sentiment was also stamped with the Label Me Pretty stamp set and punched with a 3/4″ circle punch and a 1″ circle punch in Sweet Sugarplum cardstock for further color coordination.
To finish it off, the Whisper White 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon tied it up nicely! I hope you enjoyed this lovely Flying Home with lots of texture Hello card.
