Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop! All of the participants here are fans of this monthly crafting kit and want to share our enthusiasm for this box of fun and creativity.
The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild. On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use this March Paper Pumpkin kit: May Good Things Grow. I hope you enjoy the projects and find inspiration along the way.
Here is my 2-page scrapbook layout with these gorgeous products and modified them to use them in a variety of ways for my project. Inspiration comes when you step out of the “box” with me and do something completely different. Just play and see where it takes you.
I started with a 12″x12″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and stamped all corners using the Fresh Fig stamp pad with one of the lovely images from the Paper Pumpkin kit stamps using a Fresh Fig stamp pad. Too add more color, I cut a 12″x12″ piece of Powder Pink cardstock down so it would have a lovely frame. I stamped off each time with the leaf using the Old Olive stamp pad and the flower using the Fresh Fig stamp pad to add depth to the background.
I wanted the pale yellow flowers in a color to better coordinate with my color scheme so I changed them to a darker shade using the Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends. Yes, it was a littler scary, but I jumped and it turned out just fine! I also changed the green leaves in their bolder shade to a darker tone using the Old Olive Light and Dark Stampin’ Blends Combo pack. I was happy the way both turned out and they were better suited to the overall feel of the layout.
A couple of the flowers from the wood elements of the birthday bonus were also colored with a Dauber and the Fresh Fig stamp pad and some leaves and stems using the the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
To accent the friendship theme, I used coordinating Fresh Fig cardstock
and Old Olive cardstock
to cut out the words from the Celebrate You thinlit dies.
The dies added to the feminine theme, as well.
