This lovely card tricks you eye a bit, is it right-side up or upside down? It takes just a moment to recognize that it is a mirror image on the lower half as well. In spite of the trickery, I think it turned out very pretty, don’t you?
I had to use several of the ovals from the Layering Ovals framelits set and they really paid off. The accenting of the Night of Navy cardstock against the Whisper White cardstock is a great contrast. I have to admit though, it was a bit of a challenge to line up the Floral Phrases stamp set large image directly across from each other with the decorative stamp across them both. Did I just get lucky? Hard to say, but it did happen on the first try!
With the release of the new Stamparatus equipment, stamping like this will be a breeze. Click here to watch a video about the amazing product. If you were lucky enough to place a reservation for a stamparatus, terrific. If not, I will have a lottery for the couple of extras I was able to reserve. Watch here for more info and on my Facebook page, too.
I used 3 different ovals from the Layering Ovals framelit set with the use of different cardstock for the sharp contrast. This lovely white satin ribbon has retired, sigh…it was a favorite of mine. Using this ribbon really added a nice touch of elegance to this card. I can think of many occasions for this card: birthday, sympathy, thinking of you and more. It would be just as lovely in many colors, so I hope you explore making this card, too.
