I’ll bet Santa’s Sleigh would be gorgeous like this! If it were my sleigh and I got to ride around passing out presents, you can be sure I would fly every day! Who doesn’t love some shiny and glittery fun during the holidays. It definitely ranks in my top 10 of holiday cards for this season! Mostly because of the gorgeous accents both top and bottom using our amazing Red Glimmer Paper and the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, it is just stunning and oh, so simple! It frames the card with lots of pizzazz. The photos truly don’t do it justice.
This was just one of my four Glitter & Glam cards for my October 7th World Card Making Day class.
I wasn’t sure if or how the Red Glimmer Paper would work with such a detailed punch. I started with the glitter side down (like I do when I use the Stampin’ Trimmer). Then I tried it face up, just to see the difference. Well, “much to my surprise”, it worked better face up . I was also a little concerned that it might dull my Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, especially since I made 24 cards for a card swap and needed two for each card. I decided even if it did dull the punch, it would be worth it!! Lots more Glimmer punching in lots of colors and it’s still going strong! Love that Stampin’ Up! quality!!
The background print is from the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper creating some nice contrast against the Basic Black cardstock base. You can find two other samples using this classic Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper on scrapbook layouts here and again on a card here.
The inside greeting is from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set with one of several great sentiments in a very festive font. This stamp set has several very useful sentiments for cards and other holiday projects.
Thanx for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this fun Christmas card. Make every project A Crowning Creation!
