This Week #6 Mini Lantern is my project for the 12 Weeks of Christmas makes a lovely little accent for so many possibilities.
Have a holiday party and these can add a great little bit of light on a shelf, in the bathroom to add a bit of Christmas fragrance or on a child’s nightstand in case Santa pops in (a battery light). There are so many possibilities for this Mini Lantern, you’ll definitely want to make several this holiday season. These make a great little gift item for co-workers, teachers, hair stylists and nail techs, too. Wouldn’t you love getting one? or a pair?
I found these little lanterns at a discount store and just couldn’t pass them up. I envisioned so many delightful ways they could be used. Here I cut out some snowy trees from our Silver Glimmer Paper and added a cute little reindeer cut from Gold Foil Sheets to create a delightful holiday scene secured on Vellum cardstock. Both the trees and the reindeer are from the Card Front Builders framelits set.
The decorative accents around the rim were made using Real Red Satin ribbon tied into a bow and two of our Green Sprigs from our Holiday Catalog to really give it that Christmas feel. What a delightful little holiday Mini Lantern item with so many uses.
You can make this and many other holiday projects from my 12 Weeks of Christmas at either of my upcoming Holiday Project Days scheduled for December 3rd and December 10th. Register here.
