Are you challenged to find a good masculine layout? Here’s a great option. Boy, did I have some fun playing with these tools! I started by using the Nailed It stamp set of the hammer, wrench, saw and screwdriver in Archival Gray ink on Delightful Dijon card stock to make my own background design. I really enjoyed the challenge of creating a masculine layout. I’ll bet you have a “handy” man, big or small in your life who this layout might work for. Enjoy!
I stamped the 12″x12″ with the a few of the stamp tools in a repeat pattern to make my own background design, using some vertically and others horizontally. I made this masculine 2-page layout using the Nailed It stamp set and coordinating Build It framelit die set, I really like how it turned out showing the tools and a more masculine color combination, too.
The wow part of the pages are the Silver Foil Sheets embossed through the Big Shot with the Hexagon Dynamic embossing folder. It turned out great and really made the whole layout, along with the added bits of silver on the tools as well. To add further interest, I also used Silver Foil Sheets for the metal of the tools so they would look like real miniature tools right on the page. Did you notice the screws, washers and even the measuring strip? How fun is that! And so easy with the complimentary Build It framelits dies.
Then I used our gorgeous Silver Foil Sheets in the Hexagons Dynamic Embossing Folder in the Big Shot machine and put them across the middle of the page adding a great, rich depth and masculine texture.
One of the framelits in the Build It framelit set has this fun measuring tape that I cut out also in the Silver Foil Paper. In addition, I also cut out heads of the tools for a more genuine look.
Thanx for popping in!
